State-of-the-art thermal baths and spa
Just 12 km from Myon, come discover the benefits of thermal spas in Salins-les-Bains, a town nestled deep in a lush green valley.
In rheumatology, a dual mechanism of action.
- Through osmosis, saltwater improves joint flexibility by draining excess
fluid from the joints. - Trace minerals (potassium, magnesium, and calcium) have a soothing effect on
pain by acting on the nervous system.
And a surprising sensation of weightlessness that promotes well-being
This experience of total relaxation is rare and is just as effective at relieving pain and rheumatism as it is at reducing stress, relaxing muscles, and improving sleep quality.

The “Dead Sea” in the Jura
Two hundred million years ago, the Salins-les-Bains region, in the heart of the Jura, was
—like much of the land that is above sea level today—covered by the sea.
As the water evaporated due to global warming, it deposited a layer of rock salt
rich in trace elements, which was gradually buried under layers of sediment.
The Alpine orogeny, by creating faults in these successive layers, allowed
water to seep in and circulate through the original salt.
It is these waters, enriched with valuable trace elements—comparable to those of the
Dead Sea—and possessing consistent physical and chemical properties, that were recognized
as having therapeutic properties in 1856 by the Academy of Medicine.
The spa and wellness area
Light streaming through large windows, a view of the lush green slopes of Fort Saint-
André, and a terrace equipped with lounge chairs for sunny days all contribute to an atmosphere
perfect for relaxation.
